OCM Seminar Series: Prioritising ICT & Cyber Security. Tues 19 March 2019
Organisations are often asked to “do more with less”. So what methods are available for prioritisation of projects and control implementation whilst ensuring value is delivered to the organisation?
Join our panel of experts for an informative session to explore practical applications of prioritisation of ICT and Cyber Security projects and controls on Tuesday 19 March.
Legislative requirements to treat cyber security risks are continuing to evolve as well as the priorities organisations place on them. As of February 2019 the NSW Government Cyber Security Policy replaced the Digital Information Security Policy (DISP).
For Australian Government entities, an update to the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) was released on 1 October 2018 and APRA’s Information Security CPS 234 Prudential Standard officially commences on 1 July, 2019.
Currently, many organisations have limited availability of resources (particularly in the public sector), projects are often delayed or re-prioritised and there may be not be alignment on prioritisation of ICT and Cyber Security activities. Additionally, individuals may not be aligned in prioritisation of changes across the entire organisation.
